Miniature of the Month

Pennsylvania Dutch Kitchen by Charles Tebelman

Pennsylvania Dutch Kitchen by Charles Tebelman.

Sometimes pictures speak louder than words, which is the case for December’s Miniature of the Month. This beloved room box, our Pennsylvania Dutch Kitchen, becomes transformed every year into one of the KSB Miniatures Collection’s most popular Christmas displays depicting Santa’s North Pole home. The late Charles Tebelman, who was from Cincinnati, created the Dutch kitchen and donated it to the collection in 2010. Since then, we’ve decorated it for the holidays every year and visitors to the collection (and online) continue to adore the seasonal addition which features a charming Christmas tree by Gudrun Kolenda. Karen Markland created the other wooden Christmas decorations. Santa is by Shirley Whitworth Bertram. Looms, spinning wheels and swifter are by Allen Thede. Crocheted tea cosy by Hanna Kahl-Hyland. Wooden utensil and bowls by Sir Tom Thumb and Windsor chair by Jim Ison.

Thank you for following us on Facebook and Instagram. Wishing all of you the merriest Christmas ever!

Charles Tebelman’s Pennsylvania Dutch Kitchen becomes Santa’s North Pole home for three months out of the year.
